Whenever Mestrando Charm participates to a roda he makes his presence felt through the tireless music and his beautiful voice, therefore it is surprising that he waited so long to publish his first CD. “Cantigas Ineditas de Capoeira” contains 20 original new songs written and composed by Mestrando Charm, including ladainhas, Benguela, Sao Bento Medio and Sao Bento Grande. Unlike more innovative/experimental tracks found on other recent CDs (e.g.: Mestre Toni or Mestre Acordeon), in his first collection of capoeira songs, Charm features very traditional arrangements and toques of contemporary capoeira regional. Indeed, what makes this CD worth is the impeccable execution and recording; they are "no frills" compositions that let the feeling of the origins of capoeira music speak. The originality and quality of “Cantigas Indeditas de Capoeira” definitely make it an enjoyable CD for both neophytes and connoisseurs of capoeira music.
