Compared to their previous works, the fourth CD by GCAP is more sophisticated: the sound is cleaner, the arrangements are simple echoeing the traditional capoeira music, and the lyrics are great -as always with M. Moraes. However, what the GCAP has gained in refinement, they paid in terms of spontaneity and playfulness that are lost in the precise cadence of their capoeira songs. Overall a very good contemporary capoeira angola CD with its roots firmly planted in tradition.
